My Home

Our own move-in
is coming.

Right now, our family of five lives in a small apartment while our next home gets built. Which means I'm about to do the very thing Millhouse teaches:

Move on from a move-in. In real time, with everyone watching.

A rendering of the kitchen in Imee's next home, still on paper.
our kitchen / the mayfair kitchen, still on paper

Why this build is different

This build is the Millhouse Method with nothing to hide behind. Every corner is being designed before the walls close: where the coffee lives, where the school bags land, which systems run the house so I don't have to. Not picked from a catalog. Decided, on purpose, around how the five of us actually live.

The Mayfair kitchen

At the heart of it is the Mayfair kitchen. That's what we call our own kitchen: the one that gets everything we've learned from staging everyone else's. It's the room in the render above. still on paper, already argued over

Some decisions will work beautifully. Some won't survive the first week of real life. You'll hear about those too.

In my house, with three kids and two businesses, it's never fully perfect. That is not the goal. Unstuck is.
